  • Wahid Bayar was born in Kabul, and spent much of his childhood in the Russian capital of Moscow, which he describes as the “place” where his interest in music and dance started. The child of parents with both roots in the beautiful city of Herat, Wahid learned to play several music instruments including piano, guitar, Rubab, Harmonia and percussion. At age 8, he left his beloved Afghanistan and moved to the Russian capital of Moscow. While he was very busy composing his own songs and working creatively with new music beats and dance moves, he also finished his primary school and his secondary school.
    To earn living he started to work as a DJ in several clubs in Moscow and joined a dance group and started to perform on different occasions.
    In 1999 Wahid left Moscow and moved to The Netherlands to be united with his family after years of separation. Wahid finished his High School and pursued a study in Fashion Designing and International Theatre. During this period he got in contact with ISH, a cross-over dance-theatre group bridging the gap between classical art forms and street culture disciplines with shows, residencies and workshops all over the world.
    Wahid got accepted and started with tours all over the world to provide shows and workshops. Wahid became a very important value member of the ISH team and added many new events/shows to the portfolio of the group. After he finished his study and graduated with a degree in Fashion Designing and International Theatre, he started to make shows for ISH, working as a director, choreographer, writer and producer. And he even starred in different Dutch movies and commercials.
    Since the start of his career as a professional dancer/choreographer, Wahid Bayar performed on tours worldwide in cities like New York (USA), Addis Ababa (Ethiopia), Amsterdam ( The Netherlands), Mumbai (India) and so on. He also has a full curriculum working with famous choreographers of artists such as Justin Timberlake, Usher, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears.
    Wahid Bayar is specialized in different styles such as Street dance, popping, Locking , Electric, Wave, Hacking and so on. With his own dance crew “W”, Wahid Bayar has won several titles.
